Dressing for a night out was much simpler in college, throw on bodycon everything add some heels sprinkle on some bling and you were out the door. As my style has matured, I find myself gravitating towards the “leave something’s to the imagination” philosophy. Though it’s made it a little harder to pick a look and I haven’t completely let the bodycon phase go, I’ve instead found a more mature version.
Enter this wine faux leather skirt. The allure of a pencil skirt has always been something I’ve coveted, especially for a night out look. So I was glad when I transitioned my wardrobe after college I swapped out my uncomfortable bodycon skirts for classic pencil skirts with an edgy twist. The great thing about this style of skirt is that it still shows off my curves without being overly revealing, I also don’t have to keep constantly pulling it down to cover my bootay. When rocking a bold skirt for a night out like this faux leather one, it’s best to let it be the statement piece and pair it with items that further compliment it. A plain white tank top, leopard print, and tan gladiator heels help the wine color to really pop while still keeping the focus on my figure. No matter what you decide for a night out, be sure you’re wearing it because it makes you feel amazing! See how else you can wear this leather skirt in the fall.
