Let’s face it, there’s nothing like a white button up and crisp blazer combination, so classic!  It was only a matter of time before I paired this tee shirt dress and tux blazer dress together for a new take on the basics.  I style them with my OTK for a more retro vibe and because they cover more skin, which means warm calves for me.  Since both the shirt and blazer dress are over-sized I added a waist belt to define my waist and highlight my curves.

Since it is still ridiculously cold in MI, and I mean below zero freezing, a layering is key.  You can’t tell from the pictures but I have on several different layers to make this look work for winter.  Underneath my blazer dress have on a long sleeve and beneath my shirt dress a ribbed mini skirt.  To top it off I even have on thigh high socks under my OTK boots.  In order to keep even more body heat when it’s insanely cold add a statement coat, blanket scarf, thick tights and gloves.  There is NO reason to sacrifice warmth for fashion, at least in my opinion, especially when temperatures reach the negatives on a consistent basis, from a true Northerner take my advice, choose warmth.

Comment below and tell me: Would you rock a blazer dress in winter?
