Oh leopard, how I’ve missed thee.  I lusted after this skirt from the very first moment I laid eyes on it!  I knew it’d be a little bit of a challenge for me to style it as I don’t own many printed bottoms due to my pear/rectangular shape but I had to get out of my comfort zone and make an exception for this skirt, and these boots! OTK (over-the-knee) boots and I have been at odds for a while for a couple of reasons:

  1. During my childhood they were better known as stripper boots and associated with ladies of the evening.
  2. My muscular calves and thighs made it hard to find a pair that fit.
  3. The wrong height can be very unflattering for my body shape.

I was so glad I lucked into this pair from Forever 21, even though most of their shoes are unbearable to wear, these are surprisingly comfortable, fit my muscular legs, and stop at a flattering height for my frame!

For this look I channeled my inner MOD and decided to go retro.  I know the lack of snow is deceiving, but winter nearly upon us so I chose to pair this skirt with an over-sized sweater and OTK boots.  The silhouette is perfect for a warm yet stylish night out.
