Tips on Choosing the Right Night Out Dress for Your Pear Shape

• Keep your comfort level in mind! If you learn one thing from me let it be this, don’t let the idea of a dress trick you into buying something you wont really wear. Often you scroll across a dress on someone and their vibe will have you rationalizing why you should buy the dress when in reality it might not be something you’d be comfortable wearing. Be honest about what you’re comfortable in and will actually wear when shopping for a night out dress. The goal isn’t just a dress that makes you look good, but also makes you feel amazing so you’ll wear it again and again!
• Pick pieces that are versatile. These companies will have you out here thinking you need a dress for every occasion but that’s not true. Keep in mind the places/events you actually plan to wear your dress to so that you can choose one that works for multiple occasions. That will save you money and time!
• Pay attention to fabrics. As a materials engineer, you know I talk about this often! It’s so important to pick a dress that’s made of something you actually like to wear. For me I love more breathable fabrics like cotton but I also need stretch because I like to shake my booty butt cheeks all night long too!
• Be picky! Please don’t just buy a dress because you kind of like it. Really try it out. Bust out your dances moves and sit down. Again your goal isn’t just to buy something that makes you look snatched, it’s to intentionally add a piece you’ll also be comfortable in so you’ll actually wear it.
