I have always been a fan of a good faux fur coat but it seemed so out of place in the small town where I grew up, thankfully Michiganders seem to really embrace fur. The concept of colored fur has been a big debate for many because it always seemed too wild but extremely chic at the same time. If you decided you’re on board with the whole colored faux fur coat trend but are unsure if it’s meant to be, here are some things to ask yourself before pressing that purchase button:
- Is this really me? You can be totally in love with the idea of a trend, but once you finally pull the trigger and get it on there’s a strong feeling of buyer’s remorse. Be honest as to if a trend is really your style, it will save you a lot of money!
- Is there an option available that works with my body? Fit is so important when it comes to style, you want to make sure you’re buying something that accentuates your figure and makes you feel good.
- Will it go with what I already own? So many people fall in love with a trend and find the perfect piece only to get it home and realize they have nothing to wear with it. Don’t forget to take into account what’s in your closet when adding new pieces.
If you find a piece that you really feel gung-ho about and makes you feel like the belle of the ball, it’s a good investment. If you find a piece that makes you feel great, works for your lifestyle and with the majority of clothes you already own, that’s a great investment. Don’t be afraid to pass on a garment because it doesn’t meet all the criteria, it’s your money be sure you’re spending it on something that adds value to your wardrobe.
