I won’t lie, I was so hesitant when the jumpsuit re-gained popularity. Partially because I really didn’t see it having longevity, although I thought the same of overalls and look at them now, and since it gave me flashbacks to John Travolta circa Saturday Night Fever. As anti-onsie as I once was, I will admit I’m really glad I gave in and bought a jumpsuit.
The key when incorporating new trends into your wardrobe that you aren’t sure will last more than was season is to buy it in a flattering fit and neutral color. For me this mean a black jumpsuit with a collared wrap front and a slight crop leg. This jumpsuit has taken me from summer to fall and is easily dressed up or down depending on my mood, and all in all is a key piece in my wardrobe! When looking wear piece like this to work, especially in the fall, the trick is to pair it with season appropriate accessories and layers. For example I chose to layer my jumpsuit with a trench coat for some extra warmth and protection from the weather. Then I accessorized using my signature fall accent color, burgundy. Remember it’s about how you feel when you look in the mirror, make sure your reflection makes you feel amazing! See how else I’ve rocked jumpsuits here!
