Happy Hump Day! I’m sure you all saw the rise of the wrap skirt last fall and making an occasional appearance by some in the spring, but I am going to say this piece is here to stay. The reason the wrap skirt is such an easy and timeless garment to add to your wardrobe is because it comes in many different styles and fabrics that work for almost everybody. Here are some tips for picking the perfect wrap skirt:
- Fit. I know I know, “Jordan you always say fit about EVERYTHING”. Fit is hands down one of the most important elements of having style. If you want to look impeccable your clothes need to sit right on your body, period.
- Rise. If you’re trying to accentuate your waist go for a higher rise. For those looking to add volume to your bottom choose a style that sits on your hips.
- Length. Make sure that the skirt falls at a favorable place. It should fall at the smallest part of either your thighs or calves.
- Material. The key is to find a material that flows with your body, stiffer fabrics will sit unfavorably on larger rear ends but will add volume for the less endowed.
As I’ve mentioned in my Choosing Trends post, it’s all about finding what works for you, your body and your lifestyle. Check out another way to style a wrap skirt and how I rocked a similar skirt outfit.
